RIPEN Utility Services has been awarded the project management of SP AusNet's $12M Traralgon 66/22kV zone substation upgrade, as well as $6M Leongatha ZZS Stage 2 Redevelopment and Sale ZSS Stage 1 Redevelopment projects.

Projects

 

Included below are details of some of the projects currently being undertaken or recently completed by RIPEN Utility Services:

  • SP AusNet Traralgon 66/22kV Zone Substation Rebuild Stage 1

     

    RIPEN Utility Services have been engaged by SP AusNet to project manage the $12M stage 1 redevelopment of the Traralgon 66/22kV zone substation, together with Stage 2 of Leongatha redevelopment and Stage 1 of Sale zone substation rebuilds.

     

  • Ridley Agriproducts

     

    RIPEN Utility Services have recently completed a motor starting and Distribution Code compliance study for proposed expansion activities at Ridley Agriproducts in Pakenham.

     

  • SP AusNet Leongatha 66/22kV Zone Substation Rebuild Stage 1

     

    RIPEN Utility Services have been engaged by SP AusNet to project manage the $10.2M stage 1 redevelopment of the Leongatha 66/22kV zone substation.

     

  • SP AusNet 22kV Feeder Reliability Reviews

     

    Over the past 18 months, RIPEN Utility Services have been undertaking 22kV feeder reliability assessments for SP AusNet, including the development of solutions and general reliability strategies and implementation policies.

     

  • Castella Quarries

     

    RIPEN Utility Services have recently completed a third stage development assessment of motor starting solutions for proposed new crushing and processing equipment at Castella Quarries.  The assessment undertaken involved the predictive modelling of motor starting effects on the 22kV network in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.

     

  • T Squared/Tenix Alliance Zone Substation Cable Ratings & Summer Contingency Plans

     

    RIPEN Utility Services have recently completed an assessment of 22kV feeder exit cable ratings for numerous heavily loaded SP AusNet feeders in areas of high load growth.  Additionally, RUS were engaged to prepare summer contingency plans for various zone substations, to identify load transfer opportunities, risk management strategies etc, in the event of critical asset failures over the summer period.

     

  • SP AusNet Northern Growth Corridor Load Management Study

RIPEN Utility Services have recently completed a significant load management study within the Melbourne Northern Growth Corridor in areas residing in SP AusNet's distribution business.  The study determined a range of load management initiatives/measures to assist T Squared/SP AusNet in the management of network loading, during a period of extensive network augmentation and development and high customer load growth.
